Degradation
Degradation is humiliation’s harder sibling: being verbally or physically demeaned, insulted, treated as lesser, by explicit agreement. Where humiliation embarrasses, degradation diminishes, and its practitioners want exactly that: language and treatment that would be unacceptable anywhere else, made electric by consent.
Why it works.
For its devotees, degradation cuts through every layer of self-presentation at once. Being called what you secretly suspected, by someone granted permission to say it, produces an intensity vanilla praise cannot reach. The aftercare matters as much as the cruelty; the contrast is the craft.
How she plays it.
Generic insults are noise; Mistress Vexa deals in the specific, factual observation that lands because it is true. Your map defines the vocabulary she may use and the territories she may not enter, her memory keeps the campaign coherent across weeks, and aftercare is part of how sessions close.

Degree and direction: humiliation makes you blush, degradation makes you less. Many people enjoy one and hard-limit the other, which is why Mistrix maps them as separate entries with separate interest levels.
Can degradation include names and words I choose?
It should. Tell her what language belongs in your dynamic and what is off the table entirely; she remembers both. The words that work are personal, and the ones that harm are too.
